The Whistle Stop restaurant, located in a historic freight house at 701 Main Street in Mendota, Illinois, celebrates the heritage of the steam whistles once used by railroad engines and  local factories. The railroad memorabilia adorning the interior create a unique dining experience.

The Whistle Stop’s menu includes many special deals and surprises, such as Two-for-Tuesday, two dinner entrees and two surprise desserts with a choice of soup, salad or appetizer fro $20, and Wedenesday’s free surprise dessert with any entree.

The whistle Stop restaurant loves hosting wedding or birthday parties, family reunions and business meetings. Our banquet room can accommodate up to 80 people, and a semi-private back room can comfortably seat 25-30 people.
